About Me
Charles Loh is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, specialising in complex reconstruction for trauma and cancer.
He is also highly skilled in lymphedema surgery and supermicrosurgery. His expertise spans reconstruction in the lower limb (skin cancer, scar revision, chronic ulcers, bone infection, non-healing wounds) as well as reconstruction in the trunk, and head and neck regions, allowing him to provide tailored treatment plans for optimal outcomes. With extensive experience in microvascular free flap reconstruction, he has performed over 400 procedures to date, achieving a success rate of more than 95%.
Charles honed his surgical skills at esteemed institutions worldwide, culminating in his role at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, a major trauma center serving the East of England. Prior to this, he completed an intensive clinical and research microsurgery fellowship at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan—one of the world’s leading trauma centers. There, he gained invaluable experience and advanced techniques in handling some of the most complex cases in microsurgical reconstruction.
Beyond his clinical practice, Charles is a dedicated researcher and educator. He has authored over 150 publications and contributed book chapters to theOxford Textbook of Plastic Surgery.
